As a WordPress developer, I’ll design and launch a blog-ready, mobile-first website for your company. This includes single-page and multi-page websites.
What is WordPress?
Wordpress is a very popular PHP-based content management system (CMS) used to build blog-ready websites. It's been around a long time, and has heavily evolved over the years into a bit of a beast. It's open-source (i.e., free to use) and boasts thousands of plugins that'll allow it to do many different things.
Why is WordPress so popular?
The length of time WordPress has been around heavily influences its popularity, not to mention the plugins and themes available. Since its conception, it's grown far beyond its roots as a blog and today acts as the primary website for many businesses. It also is popular to people outside of the web design and development community in so far as many routine content updates can be done without the help of a dev team.
Blog Ready Websites
WordPress excels at being a blog; that's what it is designed for. However, today it serves as an online store, a learning management system (LMS), and a forum.
The Advantages of WordPress, but built with React
WordPress can be seamlessly coupled with ReactJS for a lightning-fast, modern web experience. These two platforms combined allow a wonderful separation of concerns that heavily increase your website's security, all while allowing easy content updates. Additionally, this merger leverages the power of ReactJS increasing your websites speed.
Without going into too much detail, it would look something like this:
- I manage and maintain the website and your blog, seamlessly working with you and your team to update the content as needed;
- I create an entry point for you and your team to manage the blog while I maintain and update the website as needed.
Not just WordPress, any CMS
WordPress isn’t the only CMS available. It also isn’t always the best option. I have other ways to get your blog up and running while still being managed by you or your team. Reach out for more information on this for now, as I need to circle back to this point later!
