What are the different types of copywriting?

There are many different types of copywriting. Based on the people I’ve spoken to, long form copy’s the type they’re most familiar with. But other areas include the short one-liners you hear on the radio (think slogans), the scripts you hear on T.V. commercials, and nearly everything you read online.

So, looking at that list, the better question’s what is copywriting?

I answer the question what is coywriting in more detail in another post, but the actual answer’s very simple. It’s the sell. A copywriter’s goal is to sell you something. And that something can be anything: the latest product, a new and convenient service, a brand-new lifestyle, you name it, we sell it. And the only real difference between all of those areas is the format you’re reading it on.
